The Century Arms Draco chambered in 7.62x39mm is an compact and portable, pistol version of the venerable AK47. This rugged little powerhouse packs a big punch thanks to the heavy projectile and ballistic nature of the 7.62x39mm round which remains effective even when fired from shorter barrels. The Draco weighs in at just 5.5 lbs with a 12.25″ hard chrome-lined, hammer forged , threaded barrel and overall length of just 21.5″. The Draco features a stamped receiver, standard AK controls and compatibility with most AK parts as well as all AK magazines. Internally the Draco is a standard AK. Pop the dust cover, remove the buffer spring and remove the bolt carrier group for cleaning. Like most AKs, the Draco has earned a reputation for it’s rugged reliability.
